Student Daily Schedule (6th - 8th)

Before and After School Pick-Up & Drop-Off

• Before and after school drop-off and pick-up is ONLY at the Student Entrance behind the building and NOT at the front Main Entrance.  Students dropped off at the front of the building must walk to the back of the building to enter through the Student Entrance before school.

• Students dropped off in the morning are allowed to enter the building at 7:00 a.m. GLMS prefers students to exit their vehicles at the drop-off zone in the early morning and avoid sitting in their vehicles in the back parking lot. The opening of our building at 7:00 a.m. should eliminate the need to sit in the parking lot.  Both the congestion of vehicles and a mass exiting of students from their vehicles at one time leads to secondary traffic back-up that interrupts the flow of vehicles who use the student drop-off zone.  Remember to drive slow, be patient with the process, and be courteous toward one another.  Morning traffic at GLMS moves slow on purpose to maximize student safety.  
   

Pick-Up & Drop-Off during the school day

Adults who drop-off or pick-up their child(ren) during the school day will use the traffic light at the intersection of M-89 and Ryan Drive to get to the front office of GLMS. Take an immediate right from the Ryan Drive and use the driveway that flows toward the front of the school and past the GLMS library to get to the main office. Please park is a designated parking spot and due not park along the curb since this is for buses and emergency vehicles ONLY.

When exiting the parking lot, the traffic flow requires adults to turn left and drive between Richland El. and GLMS and past the west side of the MS gym. Vehicles will then turn left at the bus loop, drive behind the baseball field, and move toward the four-way stop sign which will lead you back to M-89. Adults are asked to not drive between the football stadium and Richland El. for student safety reasons.

The driveway off of M-89 between Richland El. and GLMS is an entrance to Richland Elementary only (NO EXITS).
