COVID-19 GRANT FOR Teacher and School Support Staff

Governor Gretchen Whitmer and State Treasurer Rachael Eubanks recently announced that eligible Michigan teachers and support staff who worked additional time and incurred additional costs during the 2019-2020 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic can receive a grant through two new grant programs. Under both the Teacher COVID-19 Grant and the School Support Staff COVID-19 Grant programs, eligible teachers can receive up to $500 and eligible school support staff can receive up to $250.

Teachers and school support staff that may be eligible have been identified and were sent an email by November 9, 2020. Once you have reviewed the eligibility requirements and determined whether you are eligible or not, please complete this Form 5734 to certify your eligibility.  It is very important to complete this form, sign, and return to Lisa Anderson by December 4, 2020.  (You may email the completed form to Lisa as long as you provide a signature.) Failure to return the form to Lisa Anderson by December 4th will result in you not being eligible for the grant funds per the Michigan Department of Treasury.
