GLMS Cross country program
The fall program is open to 6,7 and 8th graders. It runs approximately 12 weeks. The goal is to compete in meets on a 1 ½ to 2 mile Cross Country course.  We gradually get the runners up to 3 miles in training.  Practice usually begins in August @ 2 weeks before school starts, with Mon to Fri of morning runs 9:30 to 11 a.m. to beat the heat and then shifting to 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. Once school starts, it remains 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. right after school.
