KAMSC

Kalamazoo Area Mathematics and Science Center (KAMSC): KAMSC is a county-wide magnet program for 9th-12th grade students. To be accepted, students must take an exam, write several essays, and have excellent grades and teacher recommendations, usually done during the winter of the student’s eighth grade year. Approximately 250 students apply each year and only 75 of the top students in the county are invited to come. The courses offered at KAMSC are all college-prep course and are very rigorous. Students attending KAMSC spend half the day at the old Kalamazoo Central High School and the other half of the day at Gull Lake. See your counselor or click here for more information.
