This course is designed for students to develop fundamental operational skills, learning skills of machine woodworking tools and gain necessary technical information for related woodworking tools, and gain necessary technical information for related woodworking operations. Emphasis will be placed on basic furniture construction with cabinet-making introduced on a simplified scale. The use and skills of hand tools are aso included to supplement power tool operations.

NOTE 1: STUDENTS MUST PASS A SAFTEY TEST SUCCESSFULLY BEFORE THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO WORK IN THE SHOP AREAS
NOTE 2: STUDENTS MUST BE AWARE THAT IN SELECTING THESE COURSES, ONLY INEXPENSIVE MATERIALS WILL BE FURNISHED FREE TO MEET MINIMAL COURSE OBECTIVES AND THAT PROJECTS ARE THE PROPERTY OF THE SCHOOL. STUDENTS MAY BUY BETTER QUALITY MATERIALS TO USE, OR PURCHASE WOOD FROM THE SCHOOL TO BUILD THEIR PROJECTS. MATERIALS PURCHASED FROM THE SCHOOL MUST BE PAID FOR AT THE COMPLETION OF EACH PROJECT.
